Sound Healing School Vancouver: What to Expect
If you have been feeling drawn to sound healing training and you are in Vancouver, you are in a good place. The city has a vibrant wellness community and a growing number of people taking sound healing seriously as a professional practice.
But what is it actually like to attend a sound healing school? Here is an honest and detailed look at what you can expect.
The format of training at Mystic Meditations
Our training runs as monthly weekend intensives, held at our two Vancouver locations in Yaletown and Kitsilanto. This format works beautifully for people who have work, families, or other commitments during the week. You immerse fully on weekends and then have time between sessions to practice, integrate, and reflect.
Most of our students find that the weeks between training weekends are some of the richest in terms of personal development. You will be practicing with your instruments, noticing things differently, and bringing new awareness to your own nervous system and relationships.
What the curriculum covers
Our curriculum is grounded in nervous system science and trauma-aware facilitation. That means we go deep on polyvagal theory, brainwave entrainment, somatic experiencing, and what it means to hold space that is genuinely safe.
We also cover instrument technique across multiple sound healing tools, session design, the energetics of sound and frequency, esoteric studies, and business foundations for practitioners who want to build a practice after graduating.
The experience of being in the room
This is the part that is hardest to capture in words. Sound healing training is not just a knowledge transfer. It is an embodied experience. You will spend time receiving, practicing on others, giving and receiving feedback, and developing the particular quality of presence that good facilitation requires.
Most students describe the training as deeply personally transformative, not just professionally informative.
Who is in the room
Our cohorts include people from all walks of life: yoga teachers, therapists, nurses, artists, entrepreneurs, and people making a full career change. What they share is a genuine draw toward this work and an openness to learning.
The relationships formed during training frequently become long-term friendships and professional collaborations.
After the program
Graduates of our program receive CMA-accredited certification recognized by ISTA. Many go on to offer sound baths, build private practices, teach, or integrate sound healing into existing wellness work.
We stay connected with our graduate community and continue to offer resources and support as they build their practices.
If this calls to you, we would love to hear from you. Visit mysticmeditations.com for full program information.
