From choosing a business structure to getting your next booking, the weekend connects the business behind your work with how you present it to the world.

Your Business & Financial Foundations

Understand your options for structuring a business. Explore costs and profit margins, with a practical look at pricing your work and planning how to pay yourself.

Your Offerings & Opportunities

Develop offerings that communicate the value of your work. Consider where your practice could grow, from private sessions and public events to organisational partnerships.

Your Website & Social Media

Review your online presence and identify what needs improving. Explore website platforms and how to build a social media presence that helps people understand your work and book with you.

Your Events & Bookings

Work through the practical side of creating an event, including Eventbrite. Explore working with venues and the agreements and booking systems that support professional delivery.

Your business is the working material.

Bring your laptop and your current business information, including any website or social media accounts you already use. You don’t need everything in place to begin.

We’ll apply the teaching directly to your practice, with time to develop your materials and work through questions specific to your situation. You’ll leave with useful progress and a clear plan for your next steps.

Course materials are included for continued reference. Please bring a laptop and charger.

Who this is for

Sound and wellness practitioners with training in their primary modality who want to strengthen the business side of their work.

You may be preparing to launch, receiving occasional bookings or developing an established practice. Practitioners trained outside Mystic Meditations are welcome.

This course does not teach foundational facilitation skills.

Taking your work into the studio

Interested in facilitating at W Wellness? We’ll also discuss how to propose programming at the studio and what you need to have in place to begin.

Studio opportunities are assessed separately. Completing the training does not guarantee bookings or a placement.

Tuition

$400 CAD

Mystic Meditations alumni: $300 CAD

The alumni rate applies to graduates of the Foundational Sound Practitioner Training or Advanced Facilitation Training.

Places are limited to allow time for individual work and feedback.

Business, financial and contract topics are provided as general education. Individual legal and tax decisions should be reviewed with an appropriate professional.
