After purchase, we will contact you to discuss available notes for your selected bowl size and help you choose the best option for your needs.

Available notes are determined by the physical limitations of bowl size and resonance. Not every note can be produced in every size.

Choosing the Right Third Octave Bowl

10–12"

A versatile choice that balances deep resonance with portability. Ideal for practitioners who travel, facilitate smaller groups, or are building their first bowl set.

13–14"

Offers the deepest notes available with reliable pitch selection. These bowls create powerful low frequencies, longer sustain, and a strong vibrational presence.

16" and Larger

Designed for maximum vibration and resonance.

These oversized bowls create an immersive experience that can be felt throughout the body and space. Due to manufacturing limitations, exact note selection is generally not available for bowls 16" and larger.

Important Note About Large Bowls

Bowls 16" and larger are typically sold by size rather than by exact note.

Because oversized frosted bowls are molded during manufacturing, small variations in wall thickness, cooling, and crystal distribution can significantly affect the final pitch. As a result, manufacturers generally cannot guarantee a specific note in advance.

If precise tuning is important for harmonic pairings or building a bowl set, we recommend choosing a bowl between 10" and 14" where note selection can be more accurately controlled.

432 Hz or 440 Hz?

440 Hz is the modern concert pitch standard used in contemporary music.

432 Hz is tuned slightly lower and is often preferred by sound practitioners for its warmer, softer character.

Neither tuning is better. If you plan to use multiple bowls together, we recommend choosing bowls that share the same tuning reference.
